SuperCollect supports the process of data collection: from the generation of the questionnaire until the receipt of the data. The main steps in this process are the following.

Creation and update questionnaire
The questionnaire is created and updated by the data collector. SuperCollect supports:

• The initial creation of the structure of the questionnaire as well as the questions and other meta data needed. Examples of the other meta data are: explanation of the questions, codes and classification systems used, consistency checks. Only the data collector can change the content of the questionnaire form.
• Update of the questionnaire. After the download of a questionnaire for a new period to the data provider, the links between the administrative data and the questions will remain for the part of the questionnaire that did not change.

The questionnaire is implemented as a form inside an Excel spread sheet, as a self contained form or a HTML form.

Answering the questions
The questions are answered automatically, manually or partly manually and automatically. The questions can be filled automatically using translation rules between the questions and data imported in other work map(s) of the spreadsheet. The data can for example have been imported in a work map from one of the subsystems of the financial, personnel, logistics, sales and/or purchase information system. For the implementation of the translation rules, (= links) the standard functionality of the spreadsheet program is available.

Sending the data
When the answers are completed, the data can be sent to the data collector. SuperCollect supports:

• Check on completeness.
• Creation of XML file.
• Encryption.
• Send button.

Management of the process
SuperCollect enables automatically managing the questionnaire and operating the dataflow between the data provider and the data collector.
