One of the principles on which the SuperCollect systems is based, has been experienced in an international EU research project. In ten EU countries, three prototypes of software to lower the administrative burden for the enterprises have been evaluated. Tens of enterprises from those countries implemented the software and made a link to their accounting systems. So, they could easily fill in the questionnaires of the National Statistical Institutes. The use of Telematics in enterprise reporting proved to be far less expensive in comparison with the traditional way.

From the beginning of this project in 1995, one of the founders of SuperCollect played an imported role, as architect and project coordinator. In the development of SuperCollect, the experiences of this - EU subsidised - project have been taken into account.
